Election help

Written by Susan Mannella on .

Election Day poll workers feel we do our civic duty. It's a long day of detailed work that pays little, but it's rewarding knowing we serve our neighbors and bear witness to the democratic process.

We assure our voters a peaceful and legal election day. We meet our neighbors and, sometimes, exchange recipes and gardening tips. At the end of the night, we are the first to see how our neighborhood votes. We work the polls because we want to work the polls. We always need help.

Consider joining the county Election Board and help either in your precinct or in many other precincts where we need additional hands. Call the county Election Board before the next election at 412-350-4500.
