Nuns on front lines
Regarding the May 28 column by Nicholas D. Kristof ("Sister Margaret's Choice: She Tried to Save a Woman's Life and Got Ex-Communicated"): Great article, Mr. Kristof!
To the Roman Catholic Church hierarchy: Go excommunicate, or better still, go put your pedophile priests behind bars where they belong, along with all the bishops and popes who covered up their evil deeds. Leave Sister Margaret alone to tend to the needs of the sick and dying.
Using the brains God gave her, Sister Margaret made a most difficult decision to save the life of a young mother with four children to raise. This woman's unborn child is in God's hands. Sister can hold her head high knowing she made the right decision and she has done nothing wrong.
On the other hand, the same can't be said for the Roman Catholic hierarchy, which has publicly condemned a devoted nun who is doing God's work every single day.
The Catholic nuns have done more for the church than all the priests, bishops and popes put together.
