Written by Seth Rorabaugh on .

Greetings from brisk but clear Pittsburgh. It was in the low 40s most of the day but there wasn't a cloud in the sky. Not a bad day for late November. A few pregame sights. The sun setting on North Braddock:

-The east end of Consol Energy Center:

-The main entrance:

-The glass wall on the west end with the Moon hanging overhead:

-Mellon Arena:

-Downtown Pittsburgh at twilight:

-The ice:

-These are the kind of lame-o but free hats being given out tonight:

(Hopefully there's a hat trick tonight so no one has to wear one of these home.)

-This has nothing to do with hockey, but what the heck is up with Virginia Tech's uniforms these days:

-They have more uniforms than Oregon it seems anymore. Give us the simple Corey Moore days please:

-Some sights around the arena. This might be the jersey of the night. Steve Larmer Rangers:

-The Penguins have allowed Robert Morris to do some promotional work tonight. RoMo, the poorly named mascout of the Colonials is here greasing some palms:

-Robert Morris will be hosting some games after the New Year in this barn:

-Tonight's "Ice TIme" has one slight error. We've corrected it:

-Marian Gaborik has at least one fan here:

-The Penguins' booster club is here selling ornaments and calendars on behalf of the Autism Society of Pittsburgh:

-Zarley Zalapski:

-Jean Pronovost:

-Mario Lemieux Team Canada:

-This might be a jersey foul, but it's probably more or a life foul:

-Red Wings fans!?!!?

-We guess that is a rivalry now.

-Rick Tocchet:

-Greg Malone:

-Warm ups:

-Big time development here. Tyler Kennedy is back in the lineup. He has missed 14 games due to hip/groin ailments.

-The announcement of Chris Bourque as a scratch brings an applause.

-Brian Boyle and Wade Redden are the Rangers' scratches.

-Marc-Andre Fleury and Stephen Valiquette are your starting goaltenders.

-THe Penguins honor trainer Chris Stewart for working his 1,000th career game yesterday.

-Jeff Jimerson dominates:

-Click here for the first period.
