Eaton expected to miss a week - 12-21-09

Penguins defenseman Mark Eaton (above, center, with Kris Letang and Bill Guerin), who missed his first game of the season last night, is expected to sit out a week due to an undisclosed injury. Dan Bylma suggested the time frame for Eaton's recovery could change however.

According to Shelly Anderson at PG+, Eaton had his left knee iced this morning.

Eaton was injured Saturday in a collision with Sabres forward Mike Grier.

EN Says: There's not need to rush Eaton back to the lineup, especially with the great Martin Skoula filling in.
