PREGAME

-Greetings from cold, cold Pittsburgh on Christmas Eve....uh... Eve...

-Looking up Center Avenue:

-Unless you're Bruce Gradkowski, this is a jacket foul:

-Mellon Arena:

-The Penguins are trying to kill your babies and children through tonight's giveaway:

-The ice:

-FSN Pittsburgh pull out a solid graphic showing off Jordan Staal's consecutive games streak:

-A big +1 to who ever at FSN Pittsburgh got the color shots of Schock and Harbaruk.

-A few sights around the arena. Just in time for Pascal Dupuis' promotion:

-Matthew Barnaby:

-Here's an unfortunate purchase. Dany Heatley Senators:

-Santa Claus ia a yinzer:

-Here's a really obscure jersey foul. Earl Holmes:

(And it's tucked in?!?)

-Alex Kovalev stil has one fan here at least:

-Ken Wregget:

-Warm ups:

-There's some absolute hockey royalty in the press box tonight. Soviet goaltending legend Vladislav Tretiak is taking in the game. He's in town to scout some players as the general manager of Russia's Olympic team. He might be considering that Malkin guy.

-The Penguins' scratches are Mark Eaton and Eric Godard. We're a little surprised Godard is out with Chris Neil returning.

-The Senators' only scratch is Chris Campoli.

-Marc-Andre Fleury and Pascal Leclaire are your starting goaltenders.

-Dean Kokanos, the Mark Letestu of Penguins anthem singers, sings both anthems. And as always, No Jimerson = No anthem.

-Click here for the first period.
