Martin Brodeur's (above, stopping Ruslan Fedotenko) second shutout of the season against a team as offensively talented as the Penguins was impressive. But it's hardly unprecedented. At least compared to the early years of the Penguins.
It marked the second time in Brodeur's career he put up a goose egg against the Penguins twice in a regular season. And with two more games against the Penguins, he has a chance to match former Kings goaltender Rogie Vachon as the only goaltender to shut out the Penguins three times in a season. Heck, the way he's going, he could pass Vochon.
