Penguins recall Conner - 01-27-10

The Penguins have recalled forward Chris Conner (above) from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the AHL. Conner was recalled from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Monday morning for that night's game against the Rangers in which he scored two goals while playing on Sidney Crosby's win. The following day, Conner was demoted to the AHL.

In seven NHL games this season, Conner has three points (two goals, one assist).

In 24 AHL games this season, Conner has 22 points (seven goals, 15 assists).

The Penguins had a few players missing from today's practice (PG+).

-Tyler Kennedy is day to day with an undisclosed injury.

-Eric Godard and Alex Goligoski did not skate and were ruled out for tomorrow's game against the Senators. Both of their injuries are undisclosed.

-Bill Guerin is also day to day but skated with a non-contact jersey today.

-Maxime Talbot (lower body) and Chris Kunitz (abdominal) both skated. Talbot is close to returning while Kunitz remains on injured reserve.
