Godard out 4-to-6 weeks; Johnson recalled - 01-28-10

As you can imagine, there was all kinds of health-related news out of Mellon Arena today:
-Penguins forward Eric Godard (above, with Calgary's Dustin Boyd) will be out four to six weeks due to a groin injury. He was initially injured in the first period of Monday's win against the Rangers. In 42 games, he has recorded two assists and 64 penalty minutes.
-Tyler Kennedy (undisclosed) and Alex Goligoski (undisclosed) remain day-to-day and will not be available for tonight's game.
-Bill Guerin (undisclosed) practiced today without a no-contact jersey and will play.
-Nick Johnson was recalled from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the AHL. He has appeared in three NHL games this season and has scored one goal. in 27 AHL game, he has 22 points (seven goals. 15 assists)
-Forward Chris Kunitz (abdominal) practiced today with the rest of the team for the first time. Dan Bylsma gave him a time table of one to two weeks.

Johnson-Malkin-Fedotenko

Rupp-Talbot-Conner
Dan Bylsma did say the Guerin and Johnson would take their place on the first two lines. He also said they would rotate several players on right wing on the third line in place of Kennedy.
