$20 million for Sundin?

Written by Seth Rorabaugh on .

Multiple outlets have reported the Canucks have offered Maple Leafs forward Mats Sundin a two-year deal for over $20 million.

Huh?

Seriously? $20 million for a player who has had injury problems throughout his career and has never led his team past a conference final?

We like Mats Sundin a lot, but he seriously might be one of the most overrated players ever. Were he the captain of the St. Louis Blues instead of the Maple Leafs for the last 10 years, he wouldn't be nearly as hyped as he is.

The scary thing to us is wondering what Marian Hossa is worth if at least one general manager thinks Sundin is worth $10 million per season.
