Campbell signs with Chicago

The Blackhawks have really made a slash in the first day free agency. TSN is reporting they have signed Sharks defenseman Brian Campbell. The deal is for $56.8 million over eight years.

EN Says: Campbell was the best unrestricted defenseman and one of the best overall players available on the market but that's a ton of money for a guy who has never advanced past a conference final. He can do a lot of things well, but he tends to disappear when the postseason rolls around.
