Malkin officially signs

It's not all bad in Penguins land today. Evgeni Malkin officially signed a five-year contract extension with the Penguins today. No word yet if he plans on going on a shopping spree for denim jackets from Gabriel Brothers in West Mifflin.

EN Says: Don't sweat the Hossa signing. In the long run, Malkin, Sidney Crosby, Marc-Andre Fleury and Jordan Staal are the stars of the Penguins' movie. Guys like Hossa, Petr Sykora, Ryan Malone, Jaromir Jagr, Markus Naslund (should they sign), Georges Laraque, Jarkko Ruutu, etc. are the extras.
