Umberger signs with Columbus

Restricted free agent forward R.J. Umberger, who's from a certain town in Western Pennsylvania we hear, signed a four-year deal with the Blue Jackets.

EN Says: Good signing for Columbus. The Blue Jackets needed a center and picked up Umberger in a trade with the Flyers. While's he's probably better suitedĀ for second- or third-line duty, Umberger could see time on Columbus' first line with Rick Nash next season. This signing will look even better if the Blue Jackets meet the Penguins next year in the Stanley Cup final. Umberger usually tears up the Penguins.
