Lecavalier gets paid
Lightning forward Vincent Lecavalier signed an 11-year deal worth $85 million that will keep him in a Tampa Bay uniform until he's 40 years old.
Unlike most of the Lightning's other moves this offseason, this one is a good one. It keeps Lecavalier as the face of the franchise for roughly a decade and it does it at a fairly cap-friendly figure. James Mirtle does a much better of explaining the ins and outs of the deal than we could ever hope to.
