While sitting in the toxic pit of despair otherwise known as the Post-Gazette's sports department on an Saturday night, we were playing around with Hockey-Reference.com. In between doing highly important meaningful tasks such as rounding up the Dodgers-Marlins box score and golf results from the Nationwide Tour, we dug through each team's all-time scoring lists and tried to figure out who the active leading scorer on each NHL team was.
Yeah, we're going through hockey withdrawal.
Anyway, we listed each team, the top active scorer, that player's points with that franchise and where they rank all-time with their respective organization.
For the sake of making things easier, we included Teemu Selanne with the Ducks and Joe Sakic with the Avalanche even though each of those players is considering retirement and are currently unrestricted free agents.
Please keep in mind this list means absolutely nothing. It's simply the product of boredom.
