Penguins

-The folks at BringBackMike.com aren't exactly thrilled that Paul Steigerwald got his job back.

Atlantic Division

-Devils assistant coach and hall-of-fame defenseman took a job with the Devils as special assignment coach.

Northeast Division

-The Bruins put former Penguins forward Glen Murray on waivers.

Central Division

-The Red Wings signed former Thrashers forward Darren Haydar and re-signed forward Ryan Oulahen.

-Former Blues forward Martin Rucinsky signed with a team in the Czech Republic.

-Former Blue Jackets defenseman Duvie Westcott signed with a team in the Kontinental Hockey League in Russia.

Northwest Division

-The Canucks re-signed forward Ryan Shannon and five other players.

Pacific Division

-The Ducks signed head coach and former Penguins defenseman Randy Carlyle to a two-year contract extension.

-The Sharks officially hired former Wilkes-Barre/Scranton coach Todd Richards as an assistant coach today

-San Jose re-signed restricted free agent forwards Riley Armstrong and Mike Morris. Armstrong is the brother of former Penguins forward Colby Armstrong.
