Hot scoring

Written by Seth Rorabaugh on .

The Penguins needed to find a scoring winger to stick with Sidney Crosby this offseason. They tried to hang on to Marian Hossa, but he bolted for Detroit.

So they brought in Miroslav Satan. And as Shelly Anderson writes, he's expected to be a goal-scorer. He's been consistent in finding the net since he broke into the league with Edmonton in the 1995-96 season. He has hit the 20-goal mark 10 out of his 12 seasons.

Since Satan's rookie year, only 11 other players have scored more goals than him:

Player Goals since
1995-96
1. Jaromir Jagr   489
2. Teemu Selanne   429
3. Brendan Shanahan   406
3. Keith Tkachuk   406
5. Mats Sundin   397
6. Joe Sakic   389
