Boucher and Sydor speak - 11-16-08

The Dallas Morning News has quotes from Penguins defenseman Philippe Boucher (right) and Stars defenseman Darry Sydor on their recent trade:

Boucher: "It's never easy to leave a place where it's like your family. I thought I would retire here, but this is a good opportunity, and I understand the business of the game. The team I'm going to is a good team. I think I have a lot of years left. You never know how these things are going to work out, but I'm going to go there and play as hard as I can, and see what happens. It's a challenge, that's how I'm looking at it."

Sydor: "Dallas was my first choice. Obviously I've spent a lot of time there. This is somewhat similar to what (then Lightning GM) Jay Feaster did for me at Tampa Bay. Once again, (Penguins GM) Ray Shero - I have to say thank you to him because it makes for an easier transition. He has been a total professional in all of this. I've been very fortunate. I'm also very excited."
