Pesonen demoted - 11-30-08

 

The Penguins demoted forward Janne Pesonen to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the AHL. He was called up Thursday after Penguins forward Maxime Talbot suffered a foot injury in a game against the Islanders Wednesday. Pesonen played in two games in his recent call-up to the NHL Penguins and failed to record a point. He logged 7:16 of ice time last night against New Jersey and was a minus-1.

This season with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, he has 21 points (5 goals, 16 assists) in 19 games.
