Sakic out three months following accident - 12-10-08

Avalanche forward and captain Joe Sakic will miss three months due to a snowblower accident that caused him to suffer three broken fingers and tendon damage.

EN Says: Hopefully this doesn't lead to the end of Sakic's career. He's still capable of being a point-per-game player if healthy and he's one of the few players still in the NHL from the run-and-gun days of the 1980s/early 1990s. Colorado just doesn't seem complete without Joe Sakic.
