-The Flames suspended prospect Dan Ryder for "for violation of team rules and conduct detrimental to the best interests of the team." He is the younger brother of Bruins forward Michael Ryder.

-Jonathan Quick made 30 saves and led the Kings to a 4-0 shutout win at Phoenix. Teammates Alexander Frolov (two goals) and Jarrett Stoll (one goal, one assist) also contributed to the win. Kyle Quincey and Ted Purcell each had two assist for Los Angeles.
