Central Division

-With three shutouts in a row, Blue Jackets goaltender Steve Mason is chasing some NHL history.

-It didn't take long for Predators forward Jordin Tootoo to mix things up with Vancouver last night.

-Injuries to defensemen Jay McKee and Eric Brewer have forced the Blues to use Roman Polak more.

Northwest Division

-Jason LaBarbera made 31 saves in his first game with Vancouver and defeated the Predators, 2-1.

-Wild forward Marian Gaborik (right) might be done for the season (and with Minnesota) due to a groin injury.

Pacific Division

-With defenseman Kent Huskins dealing with a broken foot, the Ducks recalled defenseman Brendan Mikkelson from Iowa of the AHL.

-December was a good month for the Stars.

-Dallas recalled forward Chris Connor from Peoria of the AHL.

-The Coyotes demoted foward Daniel Winnick and goaltender Josh Tordjman to San Antonio of the AHL.

-Ducks forward Bobby Ryan is eager to play his hometown team, the Flyers, today.

Norris Division

-Is "Slap Shot" the best hockey movie of all time?

-TSN allowed the Barenaked Ladies to ruin the "Hockey Night in Canada" theme.
