Penguins make minor trade - 1-5-09

Well it's probably not the trade many Penguins fans were looking for, but they did make a move today when they dealt minor league defenseman T.J. Kemp (right) to Montreal for a conditional seventh-round draft pick. Kemp, who played collegiately at Mercyhurst, had nine points (one goal, eight assists) in 22 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton this season.
Jonathan Bombulie of the Wilkes-Barre Citizens Voice seems to think the move will free up playing time for Jean-Philippe Cote and Reid Cashman with the AHL Penguins.
