Sweden vs. Finland - 02-21-10

This was suprisingly one-sided. Sweden came into this game looking a little shaky. Finland came in looking very strong. Sweden dends up an impressive 3-0 shutout..
The thing that really impressed us was the special teams. Finland was 6 for 12 prior to the game. Sweden shut them out on five seperate power plays.
Sweden was strong in regards to puck possesion. Finland had trouble just getting the puck for any long stretches of time.
Nicklas Backstrom was outstanding this game. He had a sick shot on a second period goal. And he has assists on both of Loui Erksson's scores.
Henrik Lundqvist (above) was okay in net, but he was hardly tested by Finland.
What really killed Finland was an elbowing major and game-misconduct takent by Joni Pikanen late in the third. FInland wasn't playing strong by that point, but any hopes of a comeback died right there.
-Sweden led in shots, 32-20.
-Johan Franzen led the game with five.
-Kimmo TImonen led Finland with three.
-Sami Salo led the game with 22:54 of ice time.
-Nicklas Lidstrom led Sweden with 22:34.
-Jarkko Ruutu had 12:54 of ice time.
