Central Division

-The Blues recalled forward Yan Stastny and defenseman Tyson Strachan from Peoria of the AHL.

-Life in St. Louis is a lot easier for defenseman Carlo Colaiacovo than it was in Toronto.

-The Predators need defenseman Shea Weber (right) to start producing goals.

-Nashville forward Radek Bonk is expected to miss two weeks due to an "upper-body" injury.

-The Red Wings will unleash goaltender Chris Osgood on the Kings Friday after a 10-day layoff.

-Detroit demoted goaltender Jimmy Howard to Grand Rapids of the AHL.

-Rib and spinal injuries won't keep Red Wings defenseman Brad Stuart from Wednesday's big game against the Sharks.

Northwest Division

-Wild foward Owen Nolan is dealing with a toe injury.

-Minnesota defenseman Kurtis Foster is officially back on the Wild's roster. He's been out of the lineup for approximately a year due to a broken femur.

-Cancucks general manager Mike Gillis is convinced he can re-sign the Sedin twins who are scheduled to become free agents in the offseason.

-Iain McIntyre of the Vancouver Sun has a pretty good piece on the roots of Canucks goaltender Roberto Luongo.

-Vancouver forward Jannik Hansen is expected to miss 3-to-4 weeks due to broken fingers.

-Flames defenseman Mark Giodano is sideline indefinitely following shoulder surgery.

Pacific Division

-Sharks goaltender Evgeni Nabokov made 29 saves and earned his 45th career shutout, a 1-0 defeat of the Stars.

-Sharks defenseman Brad Lukowich returned to the lineup last night after missing 18 games due to a sports hernia.

-The Kings recalled forward Ted Purcell from Manchester of the AHL.

-Anaheim defenseman Bret Hedican has been dealing with back spasms.
