Boucher officially off injured reserve - 3-20-09

Written by Seth Rorabaugh on .

While he was a scratch for last night's game, the Penguins officially removed defenseman Phillippe Boucher (above) from injured reserve today. In 39 games, he has seven points (two goals, five assists) and is a +2. He has not played since Jan. 30 due to a left foot injury. He was acquired from the Stars No. 16 in a deal for defenseman Darryl Sydor.

EN Says: We've hardly been kind to the man in his forum, but Boucher was actually playing fine until he injured his foot. If he's healthy, he offers a pretty steady, diverse but not spectacular game. With a right-handed shot, he can help boost the team's second power-play unit.
