Malkin, Ovechkin, Datsyuk named finalists for Hart Trophy - 4-29-09

Penguins forward Evgeni Malkin was officially named as a finalist for the Hart Trophy. He was named along with Detroit forward Pavel Datsyuk and Washington forward Alex Ovechkin.
Malkin led the NHL with 113 points (35 goals, 78 assists) this season. It was the first time he claimed the Art Ross Trophy in his career.
Ovechkin won the Hart Trophy last season.
Datsyuk is a nominee for the Selke Trophy as the league's top defensive forward and the Lady Byng Trophy as the league's most gentlemanly player.
As pointed out on NHL Live, Don Cherry must be sick seeing three Russians nominated for the award.
