Hossa has company in Chicago - 7-1-09

According to TSN, the Red Wings have lost another Slovakian to the Blackhawks. Forward Tomas Kopecky has jumped ship for two years at $1.2 million per season. He had 19 points (six goals, 13 assists) in 79 games.
EN Says: Not sure why Chicago made this signing. Kopecky is a guy who is always injured and always seems to underachieve.
It's interesting he jumped to Chicago because he was a guy who helped recruit Marian Hossa to Detroit last offseason.
We assume the Blackhawks have no legitimate interest in brining back Nikolai Khabibulin who their best goaltender last season.
