-Happy 68th birthday to former Penguins all-star forward Lowell MacDonald. MacDonald won the Masterton Trophy in 1973 and led the team in goals with 43 in 1973-74.

-Today would've been former Pittsburgh Hornets forward/defenseman Howie Mackie's 95th birthday.
