Kudos to crews

Written by Rosa Colucci on .

Although Pittsburgh's roads are now a car's arch enemy, I have to give some credit to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. As a resident of Moon, I have seen road crews working day and night laying down cold patch to fill in every orifice this past "snowmageddon" has bored into the roadways.

As the owner of a 1984 Pontiac Fiero, I have learned a thing or two about dodging potholes. I am very thankful for the road crews in Moon. Without them, I would be making round trips to the nearest tire shop.

Also, I visited the city of Pittsburgh website www.pittsburghpothole.com and found it very easy to use. All you have to do is fill in the information required and describe where the pothole is located.

Every year our roads turn into an automobile's hell, and every year PennDOT road crews work day and night, shovels in hand, to save our tires.
