Partisan Rogers
Rob Rogers, struggling to maintain his readership through condescending criticism of the previous administration and spewing venom against anything Republican, displayed his true colors in his Feb. 19 editorial cartoon.
Mr. Rogers justifies Democratic partisan excesses in spending tied directly with the Obama stimulus plan by presenting an argument that Republicans, ostensibly, would have acted in the same manner.
Mr. Rogers, what happened to President Obama's commitment in his inaugural address, "And those of us who manage the public's dollars will be held to account, to spend wisely, reform bad habits, and do our business in the light of day, because only then can we restore the vital trust between a people and their government"?
"Change you can believe in," or just words?
