Be responsible
After reading the "Pictures of Hunger" article (March 1), I felt compelled to write.
I am sick of people making bad decisions and wanting everyone else to bail them out. Whether it's homeowners living beyond their means or single mothers with multiple children, I have had enough. If you can't afford to feed your kids, don't have them.
My husband and I both have very good jobs and only one child. Why? Because children are expensive. Why have one child after another and then complain that they can't afford it? Nowhere in the article did it mention fathers. Why not? Because the fathers have probably moved on to the next girlfriend and another child.
Every mother mentioned had more than one child. If caring for one child is hard, caring for two is going to be harder. Stop having children that you can't afford. Seems pretty simple to me.
