Why does the media honor killers? As the slaughter at Columbine is remembered as well as the bombing of the Federal Building in Oklahoma, the media seems to go out of its way to mention the killers.
Instead of mentioning their names, which is what they wanted, why not just say that two mentally disturbed students killed a number of their fellow students and a disturbed person bombed women and children along with men who were just doing their jobs?
Recently with the Virginia Tech anniversary, the killer was mentioned but not the individual victims. If there is not enough time to mention the victims, there should not be time to mention the murderers of innocents.
The media should not be giving these mass murderers what they wanted ... immortality. Their names should be forgotten -- but not those of their victims.
