See the irony, PG?

Written by Rosa Colucci on .

I ended up reading your April 19 editorial "Read Less About It: Web-Only Govt. Notices Will Keep People in the Dark" several times, and I still could not believe it was in the Post-Gazette. The editorial was about Senate Bill 419 and the move to allow public notices to be posted only on the Internet and not in local newspapers. One of the points the editorial board makes is that the Internet is still "a technology that many Pennsylvanians do not have."

I guess I was fortunate that the editorial was in the Sunday edition of the PG since this is the only day that I am able to obtain the PG locally these days. The notice I received from the circulation department of the PG stated that it was no longer cost-efficient to deliver a printed version of the daily paper to readers in my area. They suggested that if I was interested in daily news I should obtain it from ... the Internet.
