Send him packing
U.S. Rep. John Murtha must go. Over the past few years, he has directed at least $150 million to the Johnstown-Cambria County Airport, since renamed in his honor ("Murtha Steers $150 Million to 'His' Airport," April 20). Ongoing, the federal government subsidized each of the six daily flights to and from the airport at a cost of $147 per passenger in 2008. And the airport has an automated baggage handling system for the average 20 or so passengers per flight.
When will Congress learn it is spending our money?
