The only purpose

In response to Brandon Falkner's letter "Extend That Logic" (May 20): I would like to extend that logic even further. Mr. Falkner, do you not realize that cars, trucks and motorcycles are not created for the purpose of killing? And that practically all knives and blunt objects are not created for the sole purpose of killing? Please tell me what is the sole purpose of a handgun or automatic rifle? I'll answer it for you -- killing.
