Nice city
My husband and I visited Pittsburgh for the first time recently.
We loved your city and, especially, the people in it. We did all the tourist things, Pirates game (they won!), river cruise (great views and commentary on the city's architecture and history), the Duquesne Incline and dinner at the Tin Angel (excellent) and the Carnegie Museum of Art (beautiful). We stayed at the historic and beautifully restored Renaissance Hotel.
We got around the city on the excellent light-rail and bus system with the help of the friendly, helpful, patient people, both employees and passers-by, from whom we sought assistance.
What Pittsburgh has done and is doing to its three rivers waterfront and the handsome plazas and fountains all over the city also enhanced the experience of these two non-city people. But it was the kindness and friendliness of all the people we came in contact with that truly make Pittsburgh, to our minds, a great place for tourists to visit.
We thought you'd all like to know.
