Strong support?
In Sunday's June 21 story "Revamping Of Health Care Backed," the New York Times reporters wrote: "Americans overwhelmingly support substantial changes to the health care system and are strongly behind one of the most contentious proposals Congress is considering: a government-run insurance plan. ..."
"Overwhelming support" and "strongly behind" make for "contention," do they?
I'm baffled, as usual, by the thinking of our elected representatives.
