It's been worse
Regarding recent articles on Pittsburgh loyalty to a losing team -- we've always been that way. Read Joe Garagiola's book, "Baseball Is a Funny Game," and he'll tell you. In 1952 we lost 112 games. When we won a single game, sportswriters called it a "winning streak," but the Pirates made a profit on the gate for every home game. It's a 'Burg thing.
