The Goldman Sachs point

Can't help but think that Avi Bass got the whole idea behind the editorial cartoons he dislikes wrong ("Not Zero Sum," Aug. 5 letters). My take on the cartoons lampooning Goldman Sachs executives has nothing to do with some winning, forcing others (probably us commoners), to lose. I'd say it had something to do with the bailout and impudent awarding of bonuses to people causing our weakened economy.

Goldman Sachs creating jobs? Will it hire more janitors to clean up after the celebration? Doubt it. Probably work as contractors, no fringes that way. More profits, you know.

As to Mr. Bass' assertion of more companies being like Goldman Sachs, I, personally, agree with him. All the companies should be like Goldman Sachs. I could retire after my first huge bonus.
