Park disappointment

Written by Rosa Colucci on .

I've always enjoyed spending time in Pittsburgh. Two young men from Germany have been visiting us, and I took them to Pittsburgh and showed them Point State Park, Station Square and the Grand Concourse. We rode the incline and took in the incomparable view of the city from that vantage point.

The reason for this letter is to perhaps generate within your readers some of the same disappointment and disgust I felt as we picked our way around the incredible amount of feces that littered the grass between the underpass and the fountain area of Point State Park.

That park attracts tourists from all over and should be a showplace ... not a manure pile! If I lived in the city, I'd be down there with rubber gloves and garbage bags, but since I don't, I hope that some of your readers will be as upset as I am and do something about it!
