Stellar behavior

It is unfortunate that umpire Jim Joyce erred in calling Jason Donald safe at first, but as far as I'm concerned, the way Armando Galarraga handled that misfortune ("The Imperfect Game," June 4) earned him not an asterisk at the bottom of the table but a star at the top.

Pitching a perfect game is unfathomably difficult, but responding as gracefully as Mr. Galarraga did is even harder and more praiseworthy.
