Out of PG's league
I'm writing in regard to the Feb. 14 editorial on PNC's chairman taking a private jet with colleagues and clients to the Super Bowl ("Bumpy Ride"). I have no personal interest in PNC bank one way or the other.
You note that "alternative travel" might have been advisable, calling it a "PR stumble" and noting PNC's recent quarterly loss after removing National City, a financial disaster, from the business landscape.
The PG's business section, with its one full page of daily business news that lacks almost any insight into how business operates, is unremarkable at best. Pontificating on how to run a large, successful corporation is simply out of your league.
