Mayoral debate

Written by Rosa Colucci on .

In light of your recent editorial about the lack of televised mayoral debates and as chair of the board of directors for the Center for Victims of Violence and Crime, I feel a responsibility to inform your readers that we, and other notable community organizations, will be sponsoring a mayoral debate on Tuesday, April 28, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Kingsley Association, 6435 Frankstown Ave.

The topic is community and public safety and will be moderated by Tene Croom, director of news for American Urban Radio Networks. All the candidates vying for the democratic nomination, Mayor Luke Ravenstahl, Councilman Patrick Dowd and attorney Carmen Robinson, will participate. We hope the public will come out to learn about where these candidates stand on the issue of public safety.
