Richard Poplawski, accused of killing three Pittsburgh police officers, is innocent until proven guilty. But he says he's had mental issues for years ("Poplawski Ends Silence From His Jail Cell," Post-Gazette, June 16). Then how did he buy weapons? It states on the purchase form that if you have mental problems you must disclose them and then you should be denied.
Well, those three police officers were denied their lives. Mr. Poplawski is in jail, not the Hilton Hotel. He's whining about what's been taken from him, but until he admits to murdering those three policemen he just needs to sit in that jail and shut up.
