As we proudly welcome the world to Pittsburgh, I would like to take a moment to thank the hard-working staff at Catholic Charities. They have spent weeks creating and implementing a plan to allow our programs that normally operate at our Downtown location to be available to clients at remote locations and offices.

To ensure that traffic changes/restrictions and other G-20 realities wouldn't negatively impact our ability to get services to our clients, staff doubled up at desks, moved IT equipment to new locations, created briefings and communications for clients and coordinated the movement of resources to keep our level of service as close to 100 percent as possible. This effort was approached by a smiling staff committed to the welfare of their clients.

I am fortunate to be able to work with this dedicated Catholic Charities staff every day, and this is just one of the many reasons that I am so proud of them.
