Please trade him

Written by Rosa Colucci on .

People who are defending Ben Roethlisberger just don't get it. This city identifies with the Steelers. It has been a source of great pride to us that in addition to winning six Super Bowls the Steelers have always had players with outstanding values. The ridicule we are now receiving from fans of other teams is hard to handle.

I am embarrassed and disgusted. Ben Roethlisberger's disrespect and contempt toward women is shameful. I will no longer be wearing anything with Ben Roethlisberger's name

number on it. And, I certainly will not allow my daughter or 4-year-old niece to wear anything referencing Ben Roethlisberger either. To me, wearing his name/number says I'm OK with how he is as a person. And I am not!

The damage to the city and the Steelers' image caused by Ben Roethlisberger's offensive behavior is terrible. I wish the Steelers would trade him because no way will I ever be able to cheer for him again. Winning is not everything.
