Join us to understand our G-20 concerns

Written by Rosa Colucci on .

We have been presented with a unique opportunity to better understand the many complex issues surrounding globalization with the G-20 coming to our town. Instead of mocking protesters, hiding away and watching the coverage on the mainstream news, why not take advantage of this opportunity and go outside today and Friday to understand why so many people feel the need to protest these meetings?

We protesters are not uneducated, violent anarchists, but legitimately concerned global citizens who despise the ongoing concentration of wealth and power, hate the pursuit of profits at any cost to people and the environment and are frustrated with trillions of U.S. dollars going to bail out bankers while foreclosures and unemployment continue to rise.

We are your neighbors, we ride the bus with you and, yes, we are going to be out in force at the G-20, agreeing with the billions around the world who dislike the current path of globalization and dare to dream of a better, sustainable, compassionate model of development.
