A growing divide

The letter from A'Delbert Bowen, M.D., asserts that there are glimmers of light at the end of an ominous dark tunnel ("Seeing the Marxism," Nov. 9). He points out that the American people are waking up to the clear repudiation of the Marxist direction of the country under President Barack Obama and his Democratic congressional leaders.

Of course, anyone who uses the term "Marxist" knows that one of the principal characteristics of Marxism is a classless society. Since there are 15.7 million unemployed while banks and financial houses have continued to pass out billions in executive bonuses, how can anyone believe that we're headed toward Marxism?
