Back to the future

In the rush to claim some sort of victory in the sad and appalling story of UPMC Braddock ("UPMC to Raze Braddock Site," April 15), I wonder if anyone has anticipated the irony of a hospital being demolished in the shadow of a fully functioning steel mill?

Perhaps the demolition could be spun to the global press as the kickoff event for Renaissance III - a proactive diversification move by our regional leaders to reduce our dependence on the medical sector.
