Phantom of the Attic celebrates new space
Phantom of the Attic Comics, a fixture on South Craig Street in Oakland for 25 years, has a grand celebration planned to officially open its greatly expanded retail space at 411 S. Craig Street, above the Top Notch Art Center.
On Saturday, Oct. 18, and Sunday, Oct. 19, there will be sales throughout the store, plus special guests both days. On Saturday, local comic artists Pat Lewis, Jason Lex, Chris Moeller, Ed Piskor, Jim Rugg and Thomas Scioli will sign autographs and draw sketches, while roller derby star Mel Practice will be skating in the store and making balloon sculptures.
An Amazing Spider-Man graphic novel will be given to the first 25 customers each day.
